Otherwise, spend some time finding out more about CHE-Trinity, one of the nation’s largest Catholic health care systems — and a recognized leader in health care information technology and in the delivery of innovative, high quality, nonprofit health care.
CHE-Trinity is well positioned to address a diverse number of health care and healthcare industry topics. We are also committed to supporting the media in efforts to report on these issues, locally, regionally or nationally.
The organization, formed by the consolidation of Catholic Health East and Trinity Health, is one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the nation. It serves people and communities in 21 states from coast to coast with 82 hospitals, 89 continuing care facilities and home health and hospice programs that provide nearly 2.8 million visits annually. It was formed in May 2013, when Trinity Health and Catholic Health East closed their consolidation to strengthen their shared mission, increase excellence in care and advance transformative efforts with their unified voice. With annual operating revenues of about $13.3 billion and assets of about $19.3 billion, the organization returns almost $1 billion to its communities annually in the form of charity care and other community benefit programs. It employs more than 87,000 people, including 4,100 employed physicians. The new organization is based in Livonia, Mich., while maintaining a divisional office presence in Newtown Square, Pa. The consolidated ministry is committed to those who are poor and underserved in its communities and is known for its focus on the country's aging population. As a single, unified ministry, the organization is the innovator of Senior Emergency Departments and the largest not-for-profit provider of home health care services — ranked by number of visits — in the nation, as well as the nation’s leading provider of PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly) based on the number of programs.
