Trinity Health has been at the forefront of enacting meaningful health care reform since 2006. Now, as government and health care payors and providers implement the Affordable Care Act, Trinity Health remains hard at work to ensure that it provides the greatest possible benefit to the 32 million uninsured Americans who will have access to affordable health care coverage, the millions more who won't be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, and to health care providers seeking to deliver the best possible care.

We believe America's health care system should:
- Provide everyone with access to health coverage and high-quality care
- Coordinate care in a way that places the patient at the center of all health decisions
- Rewards quality over quantity
We also believe that it can be achieved.
Creating a health care system that connects patients, payment systems and providers across the continuum will require embracing models that deliver the highest quality, safest and most cost-effective care. Our policy suggestions include:
- Expanding patient access to health services
- Increasing coordination between providers
- Investing in our health care workforce
Achieving a model of coordinated care, high value, and affordable health coverage can happen if patients, payors, policymakers and health care organizations work --- and lead the way to health care transformation --- together.
